Shawn has trained in an array of martial arts disciplines over the years, in both ranked and unranked systems. He holds black belt ranks across both ITF & WT styles of Taekwondo, while currently pursuing his 1st Dan certification in the Zen Do Kai tradition of Karate. In addition, he has also studied several other martial arts to varying extents — including Muay Thai, American Boxing, Tai chi, Judo, BJJ, Escrima, Iaido, among others. He's supremely technical in nature, but loves creatively blending disciplines to constantly evolve his own personal style!
Outside the dojo, Shawn enjoys spending time working on his project car, snowboarding, woodworking, gaming, and has recently taken up 3D printing as a hobby.

DeAnna is not only an exceptional martial artist with a strong background in Taekwondo and Kickboxing, but she's also a warm, knowledgeable, insightful, & attentive teacher. With her help, you'll feel keenly aware of your surroundings as you move through the world (both in public and private spaces), prepared in your routines to react quickly to any possible threats, and confident in your skills and how you choose to manage your growth in the marital arts!
Off the mats, DeAnna is a punk rock aficionado, loves to read beside a good cup of East Bay area coffee, and has an unhealthy obsession with all things Powerpuff Girls.
